Dear Parents/Guardians
We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break and are ready for the New Year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during 2008, especially through the Christmas festivities. The children worked very hard to produce their play and need congratulating on their team spirit and great performances. We are looking forward to another half term of hard work, enthusiasm and enjoyment.
Once again, we would like to remind you that the children are given a Numeracy and Literacy task every Wednesday, occasionally homework may be given on a different subject related to the current topic. The deadline is the following Monday. Homework must be handed in on time! We expect children to complete their homework to the same standard as they complete their work in school – always to try their hardest.
Please remember that the school doors open at 8.40pm, when children are welcome to come into class to complete their homework. We will be there to help them. If children do have any difficulties with their homework, they need to seek help before the homework is due in!
In addition, we would also like to remind you that the children have indoor P.E. on Tuesdays and outdoor P.E. now on Mondays and Wednesdays. For these lessons, the children need a full kit, including a change of footwear. It is not acceptable for children that wear trainers to school to also wear these for P.E. due to the mud that is brought into school.
We are looking forward to another successful half term. Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Miss Cleveley Ms Norman Mrs Mitchell
